Misc. News

We had random Sandhill Cranes land on the airstrip these past few weeks. They were even checking out our garden one day.

If you haven't heard the fires this summer have been bad. Ash falling all over - air advisories and general yuckiness. It was even so bad that the airport got shutdown for a few days. Erin got caught in that one! Here is a picture from the hill by our house. You can see the smoke rising off "the flats" (that is where the fire is burning)
Our garden has produced a little bit this summer - even though we had a late start. Caleb liked picking his "potatos" (tomatoes) and the peas. We even got a few strawberries from plants that we thought were dead and buried.
Woodpile is all filled up and ready for winter. Thanks to Paul for all that hard work of cutting and splitting by hand.
Nolan Loves his swing!

Nolan has bypassed (long ago) Gretchen (Friend's Baby) who was born 6 weeks before him.

The boys are taking baths together! Yea for no more baby bathtub which was much more Nolan than water.
