Week in Review

Caleb loves holding his little brother - Nolan doesn't like it so much!

Well Caleb is officially two and already getting big boy ouches. He was watching Paul take off (in the plane) by the window and fell and hit the window sill. I thought he had bit right through his lip. I was holding Nolan at the time and let me tell you. You want to drop everything when you see your little baby fall and hurt themselves. This includes their siblings.. note the WANT in that sentance. I did not drop Nolan but it was hard to contain myself! Poor Nolan getting thrown over for the first born already! Here is a picture - it looked much worse but he was happy that he got to have flav-o-ice all week!.
The Boys would like to wish you a late Valentines! Happy Valentine's Day! They look nothing alike to me, but every so often you can see similar traits - hard to imagine Caleb looking like Nolan at one point in his life, but he did. Could Caleb look anymore like a hillbilly. I swear we have so many pictures of him in his undies and undershirt(usually stained undershirt). I guess that is the life of a pottytrainer. These are the presents that Paul and I bought Caleb for his Birthday. Caleb even helped Paul put them together. I wish I had video of that but I had my hands full at the time. Caleb kept taking the screwdriver and would mimic Paul, very cute! These little bins are lifesavers for our living room. Now it is a little less playroom in there.
He still loves playing with his Thomas track and engines! He has really developed good imaginative play. He will sit and have little stories acted out, like Thomas falling off the cliff and the other engines holding tight to him.
Onto Nolan - Isn't he a big guy you say! Yes, Yes he is 12lbs 8 oz today at One month! That means he has gained a pound a week! Hmmm you say.... when was Caleb 12 lbs? Well, lets see, his chart says, oh, whats this? He was 12lbs 10 oz on his 4 month check up! What!?! That is correct.
In other stats. Caleb at 2 years old is 26lbs 13 oz and 33 inches. 20th and 30th percentile respectively. Nolan is 12lbs 8 oz and 22inches. 90th and 75th percentile respectively! Ridiculous! What Caleb lacks in stature he will make up for in personality I am sure!

Nolan has great head control already - he loves to be up looking around. Don't try and sit in a chair with him against your chest or on your shoulder - he wants to see the action. Today while he was showing the nurse his amazing head control skills he started to kick his little legs like he was trying to crawl! Slow down there baby boy! He is sleeping pretty well. Usually he has a good afternoon naptime - from about 2 to 6pm where he just wakes up to nurse and change and then at night he is down about 9 till 7 or so with just changes and nursing in between. He can be a bear in those off hours! Wanting to be held, or constantly nursed - but he does have sometime when he will sit content.

We got dressed up and went to Church this weekend so we also took some family pictures - they are not the most flattering. You really shouldn't wear white if you are going to take pictures in the snow! Also, Caleb was not really cooperating in the outdoor ones- or Nolan for that matter.

Nolan looks big until you see him next to Caleb. He had better slow down so Grammy can snuggle him (and he will still tolerate it) in June. He is definitely liking the feedings by the way he is gaining for you guys. Like the new glasses, Paul! Caleb's lip looks a lot better, at least, for the pictures. Love, Grammy & Poppy

Forgot to say, we like that hat Caleb. Poppy said you are going from one extreme to the next--from the floppy beach July 4th type hat to a redneck Caboose hat. Really we love you in anything. Love, Grammy & Poppy
